Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections, had the honour of representing H.E. John Mahama at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, East Ghana Conference, for their 25th anniversary held at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
In her address at the anniversary, Jane Opoku-Agyemang encouraged all Christians to live a Christ-like lifestyle, urging everyone to emulate the teachings of Christ in their daily lives. She emphasized the importance of compassion, kindness, and selflessness, reminding the congregation that these virtues are at the core of Christ’s teachings.
Opoku-Agyemang highlighted that God sent His son to help the poor, the sick, the weak, and the homeless. She posed a profound question to all: What are we doing to help those in need? This question served as a call to action, encouraging everyone to reflect on their contributions to society and to consider ways in which they could support and uplift the less fortunate.
She stressed that it is always a joy to be in the house of the Lord, a place where believers find solace, strength, and inspiration. Her words resonated with many in the audience, reinforcing the idea that the church is not just a place of worship, but also a community of support and encouragement.
