The Ghana Education Service (GES) has declared Friday, 25th September 2026, as National Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Day for teaching staff of the Service.
The declaration forms part of GES’ efforts towards the continuous development of staff, according to a letter issued by GES Management on 15th September 2026.
This year’s National CPD Day will be held under the theme:
“Assessment in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Empowering Teachers to Assess Learning.”
GES has directed Regional Directors of Education to disseminate the information to Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors, Regional Managers of Education Units and Heads of Schools within their respective regions.
The Regional Directors are also expected to coordinate the necessary arrangements to ensure full participation and successful implementation of the CPD activities.
The letter was signed by Prof. Smile Dzisi (Mrs.), Deputy Director-General (MS), for the Director-General of GES.
