Teachers who sat for the December 2025 Teacher Promotion Examinations are eagerly waiting for their promotion letters and salary adjustments following their successful performance in the examination.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has already issued a communique to the general public through its Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Daniel Fenyi, providing information on the timelines for the distribution of promotion letters and the subsequent salary adjustments.
According to the information provided by the GES, promotion letters for teachers who successfully passed the 2025 Teacher Promotion Examinations are expected to be distributed from Accra to all 16 Regional Education Offices by August 15, 2026. The Regional Education Offices will then forward the letters to the respective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Education Offices for onward distribution to the successful teachers.
The GES has also indicated that the salary adjustment for successful teachers is expected to be effected by the end of August 2026. This means that teachers who have successfully gone through the promotion process are expecting their salaries to be adjusted to reflect their new ranks, subject to the completion of the necessary administrative and payroll processes.
As the end of August approaches, successful teachers across the country are patiently waiting for the GES to fulfil the timelines communicated. They are hopeful that the distribution of the promotion letters and the corresponding salary adjustments will be completed within the stated period.
Teachers are therefore encouraged to remain patient and continue to follow GH Educate for all the updates regarding the 2025 teacher promotion.

For now, teachers are waiting with great expectation and hope that these two important matters – the distribution of promotion letters and salary adjustments – will be addressed as promised.
