Five persons have been severely injured after a truck reportedly suffered a brake failure and crashed into a taxi at Kotokuraba near the GT Bank branch in Cape Coast on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
According to information gathered from the scene, the truck had two occupants — the driver and one passenger — while the taxi was carrying three people, including the driver. All five individuals involved in the accident sustained various degrees of injuries.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the victims were quickly rushed to the nearest hospital for medical attention. Residents and other people in the area assisted in transporting the injured persons shortly after the accident occurred.
