The Ghana Education Service (GES) has established staff helplines at regional offices across the country. This is aimed at improving communication between teachers and all other education workers in the Service.
According to the GES Headquarters in Accra, the helplines have been set up to assist staff with professional and administrative concerns.
All Regional Directors of Education have been urged them to ensure that the helpline numbers are made readily available to all staff within their jurisdictions.
Management of the GES explain that this initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen communication channels, provide timely support, and ensure that staff concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
If implemented well this move could help teachers and staff working in public pre-tertiary institutions to resolve issues more quickly.
