The Government of Ghana has issued a press statement to the general public, inviting Organised Labour to a Presidential Dialogue scheduled for March 17, 2026.
Details of the letter are provided below:
1. I write on behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, to invite you to a Presidential Dialogue with Organised Labour to engage on critical national issues affecting the public sector and the welfare of Ghanaian workers.
2. The Dialogue will provide a structured, frank, and solution-oriented platform for engagement between the Government and Organised Labour, consistent with our longstanding tradition of social partnership and constructive dialogue.
3. The engagement will focus particularly on public sector salary reforms, pension sustainability, and related labour market concerns.
4. His Excellency considers this engagement a priority as part of the Government’s broader economic stabilisation and reform efforts. The objective is to build consensus around reforms that are fair, transparent, and sustainable, while safeguarding worker welfare and promoting social justice.
5. The details of the Dialogue are as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 17th March 2026
Time: 6:00 p.m.
Venue: Jubilee House
6. You are kindly requested to confirm your participation and nominate your representatives accordingly. The President looks forward to your valued participation in this important national dialogue.
