Senegal Wins 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco

Senegal national team has been crowned champions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after 1–0 extra-time victory over hosts Morocco in a tense final at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

The Senegalese held firm under intense late pressure to deny Morocco a first AFCON title on home soil.

Eventually, the breakthrough came in extra time after a mistake proved costly for the hosts nation. The goal was netted by Pape Gueye in the extra time.

Statistically, the Moroccan team dominated with possession and pushed relentlessly for an equaliser but they were not able. .

At the final whistle, the relief and celebration swept through the Senegalese team and supporters.
