Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu, is set to organize a Skills Training Orientation aimed at empowering the youth and residents of the Kumawu Constituency with practical and employable skills. This initiative forms part of the MP’s continuous efforts to address unemployment and promote self-reliance among his constituents through hands-on vocational training.
The Skills Training Orientation is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, and will be held at three different venues to ensure wider participation across the constituency. The venues and corresponding times are as follows:
- Bodomase Methodist Church – 9:00 a.m.
- Kumawu Methodist Church – 12:00 noon
- Dadease Roman Catholic Church – 2:00 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to attend the session closest to them and to be punctual to ensure the smooth running of the programme.
According to reports, the orientation is a special programme initiated by Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim to prepare interested individuals for structured skills training that will equip them with practical knowledge and competencies. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to reducing unemployment, particularly among the youth, by providing alternative career paths outside the formal sector.
The skills training areas to be introduced include plumbing, carpentry, masonry, hairdressing, and other relevant artisanal trades. These skills are intended to enable beneficiaries to become self-employed, establish small businesses, or gain meaningful employment within their communities.
All interested participants are entreated to attend the orientation as scheduled and arrive on time to receive full information about the training opportunities available.
