Barcelona Secure dramatic draw with Club Brugge

BARCE AND BRUGGE

Barcelona came from behind three times to secure a dramatic 3–3 draw at Club Brugge in their UEFA Champions League group game on Wednesday.  Brugge struck early through Nicolo Tresoldi in the 6th minute but Ferran Torres quickly leveled for Barça just two minutes later.  Carlos Forbs twice gave the Belgian side the lead at first in the 17th minute, then again early in the second half.  Undeterred, Lamine Yamal equalized in the 61st minute with a brilliant move.  The youngster also played a part in the own goal by Christos Tzolis in the 77th minute that sealed the comeback.  Barca’s defensive woes were exposed once more and they have now conceded in nine straight games as their worst streak in over a decade.  Still, the grit shown to claw back the draw will likely earn praise and raises fresh questions about just how resilient this side can be under pressure. The point keeps them well in the hunt in their UCL group, but their defensive fragility remains a major concern.
