Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana successfully passed his medical examination at Serie A side Atalanta in Bergamo on June 30, 2025, the medicals is going to pave the way for his €17.5 million move from Southampton, with potential add ons of up to €4 million and a 15 percent sell on clause retained by the Saints.
The 23 year old winger who previously starred for FC Nordsjælland and Stade Rennais before joining Southampton in January 2023, will now embark on the next stage of his career in Italy after inking a four‑year deal (plus an optional fifth year) with Atalanta. During his Premier League campaigns, Kamaldeen featured regularly due to his explosive pace, flair, and versatility on the flank.
Atalanta who have targeted the Ghanaian forward under new head coach Ivan Juric is aiming to bolster their attacking depth following their qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
With the medical now completed, only contract formalities remain before Sulemana officially becomes part of the Bergamo squad. His arrival signals a significant boost for Atalanta’s ambitions in both Serie A and Europe.
