A burial service was held in Parliament to honour the late Samuel Ntim Darkwa, a former Clerk of Parliament known for his long and distinguished service.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, led Members of Parliament, parliamentary staff, and dignitaries in paying their final respects to Mr. Darkwa, who served during all four Republics of Ghana.

Mr. Darkwa was highly respected for his deep knowledge of parliamentary work and his commitment to public service. He co-authored important books such as The Evolution of Parliament in Ghana and How Our Parliament Functions, which have helped preserve Ghana’s legislative history.
Tributes at the ceremony praised his role in shaping the Parliamentary Service and mentoring many MPs and staff. Speakers described him as a dedicated public servant and constitutional expert whose impact on Ghana’s democracy will not be forgotten.
