The Majority Leader of Parliament of Ghana, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, says reports that A Plus who is the member of parliament for Gomoa Central constituency has been removed from the Majority Caucus WhatsApp group are false.
In a press statement released on Saturday, May 3, he said Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, is still a full member of the caucus and remains on its official WhatsApp platform.
The statement, which was in response to a report by the popular online news portal, Ghanaweb said:
“For the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, remains a full member of the Majority Caucus in Parliament and continues to be on the official Majority Caucus WhatsApp platform.”

The Majority Leader said no decision had been made to remove A Plus. Ayariga described the media report as “entirely false and misleading” and urged the public to disregard it.
He also called on GhanaWeb to retract the publication and issue a correction to prevent the spread of misinformation.
He added that the leadership of the Majority Caucus remains united and focused on its work in Parliament.
It would be recalled that GhanaWeb had reported that A Plus was removed from the Majority Caucus WhatsApp platform following a reported feud with Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame.
The report alleged that tensions between A Plus and the Attorney General led to his removal from the caucus’s communication platform.
However, the Majority Leader emphasized that no such decision had been made by the leadership of the caucus and that A Plus remains an active member of the group.
