The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have hosted a meeting for young Members of Parliament (MPs) from across the globe.
The meeting was held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in Washington, D.C., in the United States of America (USA).
The meeting was organized to honour and engage with young legislators from around the world and to explore ideas on job creation, social protection, conflict resolution, and more.
Reports suggest that these young MPs shared their experiences and proposed ways in which the two institutions could support initiatives on job creation, social protection, conflict resolution, and other pressing issues in their respective countries.
Representatives from the World Bank and the IMF expressed their appreciation to the young MPs for honouring the invitation and pledged to consider and implement various suggestions and strategies shared during the meeting.
