Attach Human Face to Tax Enforcement – Ashanti Regional Minister Urges GRA

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to adopt a more humane approach in carrying out their tax enforcement duties.

During a courtesy call by the Commissioner-General of the GRA, Mr. Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, and his leadership team, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized the importance of balancing revenue mobilization with the need to support businesses.

The Regional Minister assured the GRA of his office’s cooperation. He however appealed for a review of the operations of the National Customs Taskforce, citing growing concerns among traders and business leaders in the region.

According to the Minister, fostering a fair and enabling business environment is key to sustainable economic growth in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
