Former Director of Communications at the Presidency, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has publicly stated that he will take legal action against investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni. Anyidoho’s threat follows claims made by Manasseh that he was more powerful than then-Vice President John Mahama during the tenure of the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
I was never more powerful than Vice President John Mahama when I worked with President Mills. Manasseh Azure will prove to me in court how he knew me to be more powerful than the Vice President

The controversy originates from Manasseh Azure’s book, The Fourth John: Reign, Rejection & Rebound, in which he discusses the internal power struggles within the Mills administration.

In the book, Manasseh suggests that Anyidoho’s influence was so strong that it nearly led Mahama to resign as Vice President due to perceived sidelining and overreach by certain presidential aides.
This narrative has been a matter of debate, with Anyidoho insisting that he only carried out his official duties without exceeding his authority.
His followers on X (Twitter ) are keen to see how this legal confrontation unfolds and whether Manasseh will respond to the challenge with further evidence to back his assertions.
