As collation of votes continues, the 2024 parliamentary elections in Ghana have already seen the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) take an convincing early lead, winning 188 seats as results continue to trickle in from collation centers nationwide.
With the ongoing counting, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has secured only 85 seats, while three independent candidates have also won parliamentary slots.
