Elon Musk, CEO of X (formerly Twitter), has announced on his official X page that X has outperformed Facebook and Instagram in terms of global traffic.
According to data from the traffic monitoring site Similarweb, X significantly exceeded both Instagram and Facebook (Meta) in worldwide visits. Musk highlighted that X garnered 13.14 billion views in June, surpassing Facebook’s 12.44 billion views and Instagram’s 5.798 billion views.
Musk further emphasized that X attracted nearly three times the number of unique visitors compared to Facebook. Specifically, X had 3.127 billion unique visitors, whereas Facebook and Instagram had 1.050 billion and 919 million unique visitors, respectively.
This announcement from the billionaire CEO has sparked a range of reactions on social media.
Some users have expressed support for Musk’s claims, celebrating X’s apparent success.
However, others have raised concerns, noting that these statistics reflect performance only for the month of June. Critics argue that Facebook remains the dominant platform in the tech industry despite X’s recent achievements.
The performance of X in terms of traffic is directly related to the revenue it generates globally.
