We Are Prepared for Any Threat – Defensively and Offensively: Israel’s Prime Minister

Picture on Israel Prime Minister Defensive and Offensive attack strategies

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it clear that the nation is fully prepared to confront any threat, whether it requires a defensive stance or an offensive approach. His declaration came during the commencement of a government meeting in Israel, affirming the country’s readiness to tackle any challenges to its security.

In a statement posted on the official Facebook page of the Prime Minister, Netanyahu elaborated on Israel’s preparedness. He emphasized that Israel is not only prepared for any threat but is also determined to defend itself and to impose a heavy toll on any enemy that dares to launch an attack against it, regardless of the arena from which the threat might emerge.

Netanyahu also addressed the ongoing negotiations aimed at securing the release of Israeli hostages, describing this as a national mission of the highest importance. He acknowledged the complexity of these negotiations, given that they involve a “murderous terrorist organization” that is both “unbridled and obstinate.”

The Prime Minister made it clear that Israel is not engaging in a one-sided negotiation where concessions are made without reciprocation. He pointed out that while there are areas where flexibility is possible, there are also non-negotiable principles that Israel will steadfastly uphold. Netanyahu stressed that the country is well aware of the distinction between these two areas and will act accordingly.

The Prime Minister reiterated that these principles align with the framework established on May 27, which has garnered support from the United States. He further highlighted the intransigence of Hamas, noting that the group did not even send a representative to the talks in Doha. Consequently, Netanyahu argued that pressure should be directed at Hamas and its leader, Yahya Sinwar, rather than at the Israeli government.

Netanyahu concluded by asserting that strong military and diplomatic pressure are essential tools for securing the release of Israeli hostages.
