2025 WASSCE Provisional results release

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the 2025 WASSCE provisional results for candidates who wrote the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

According to the release, Heads of schools will receive login credentials to access their candidates’ results, while candidates can check their individual results online. WAEC has cautioned the public to disregard fraudsters claiming they can upgrade results, emphasizing that all results are secure and verifiable.

A total of 461,736 candidates from 1,021 schools registered for the examination, showing a slight increase from 2024, with 5,821 candidates absent. Performance statistics for the four core subjects have been submitted to the appropriate authorities.

Following investigations into examination irregularities, WAEC has canceled subject results for 6,295 candidates for possessing unauthorized materials, and canceled entire results for 653 candidates caught with mobile phones. Results of 1,066 candidates have been withheld for suspected offences, while alleged collusion cases involving 185 schools are still under investigation.

WAEC also noted that 35 individuals, including 19 teachers, were implicated in activities that compromised the exam’s integrity. Nineteen have already been convicted, and the remaining suspects will face court.

The Council thanked all stakeholders for supporting the successful conduct of the 2025 WASSCE and the prompt release of the results.
