Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, has arrived in Ghana from London, United Kingdom.
The Vice President was warmly welcomed at the airport by President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, the Vice President’s Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia, and other senior government officials.
Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, and family members of the Vice President were also present at the airport to welcome her.
Most Rev. Prof. Johnson Kwabena Asamoah-Gyadu, together with the other members, offered a brief prayer for the life of the Vice President, thanking God for her full recovery following the short illness she experienced.
The Vice President thanked Ghanaians for their prayers and expressed her appreciation to her doctors and the medical staff at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).
She also expressed sincere appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama and his younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama, for their support and care.
