On Tuesday, November 20, 2024, the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), honored Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh by naming a hostel facility after him.
The facility, now officially known as the Matthew Opoku Prempeh Hostel, stands as a testament to his significant contributions to education and public service in Ghana.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who is also the running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition. He described the honor as a humbling experience, noting that it inspires him to continue serving humanity with even greater dedication.
“It is with a profound sense of humility that I accept the naming of this hostel facility in my honor,” he remarked. “This hostel, now bearing my name, should serve as a symbol of what is possible when hard work and determination converge.”
The Matthew Opoku Prempeh Hostel was officially opened as a residence for UPSA students, offering a modern and comfortable living environment conducive to learning and personal development.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh commended the management and staff of UPSA for their unwavering commitment to excellence and for bestowing such a remarkable recognition upon him.
