The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Szeged, Hungary, to foster academic collaboration between the two institutions.
The agreement aims to promote cooperation in vocational and technical education, economics, and tourism. It aligns with UCC’s vision of establishing strategic global partnerships that enhance teaching, research, and capacity-building. Through this collaboration, both institutions seek to create opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and knowledge-sharing in key academic disciplines.

During an interaction with the delegation from the University of Szeged, the Vice-Chancellor of UCC, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, expressed his appreciation for the partnership. He highlighted the significance of such collaborations in strengthening UCC’s global presence and providing students and faculty with international exposure. He further emphasized that partnerships of this nature would contribute to improving academic excellence and research work.
The MoU also paves the way for joint conferences, workshops, and training programs that will facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices between the two institutions. Both universities are optimistic that the agreement will yield significant benefits and enhance academic growth in their respective fields of expertise.
