Popular Nigerian social media influencer Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, was involved in a serious car crash during a live broadcast amid reports of an emotional dispute with his girlfriend, Jarvis.
Videos circulating on social media show Peller visibly distressed moments before the incident. In the widely shared livestream titled “RIP Peller,” he appeared agitated and emotional while driving on Lagos’s Lekki-Epe Expressway before his vehicle collided with a roadside barrier.
In the livestream, Peller spoke directly to viewers, expressing panic and fear. At one point he said:
“I’m scared… if you break up with me, people will mock me… thank you, I’m going to kill myself.”
His emotional state triggered widespread concern before the footage cut to the crash sequence.

Following the crash, bystanders rushed to assist him at the scene. Multiple reports indicate that Peller was subsequently taken to a hospital; however, details about the severity of his injuries have not been officially confirmed by authorities as of press time.
In one exchange believed to be between the pair, Jarvis reportedly wrote that repeated breakup attempts—one allegedly made while Peller was abroad—left her “done” with the relationship.
Social media users and fans have expressed both alarm and concern over the livestreamed event. Some have encouraged support for mental health awareness among influencers and online personalities following the incident. Others however are of the views that this could be a planned incident to win more followers.
Already, a video of Jarvis appearing to be grieving over the matter and asking questions, has started circulating on social media.
