Suzy Pinamang was sadly shot in one of her eyes—an unfortunate incident that occurred while she was at school in BANTAMA SDA SHS.
After receiving no immediate attention, her parents and well-wishers took to social media to raise awareness of her situation.
Her condition caught the attention of Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, who generously offered to cover the cost of her eye surgery in the United Kingdom.

As part of the preparations for her travel, Suzy Pinamang’s caregivers paid a courtesy visit to Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, at his office in Accra.
Following the successful surgery in the UK, Suzy and her caregivers returned to the Minister’s office to express their heartfelt appreciation for his assistance and support – a culturally valued gesture.
Reports suggest that Hon. Ablakwa was deeply moved to see Suzy Pinamang fully recovered and able to see again.
The Honourable Minister expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, Suzy’s medical team, H.E. Harriet Thompson (the UK High Commissioner to Ghana), the outstanding staff of Ghana’s High Commission in the UK, and the MFA Protocol Department — a truly inspiring partnership.
