Sharaf Mahama Foundation Supports Asawase Muslims After Ramadan

The Sharaf Mahama Foundation, led by Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama, has once again demonstrated its commitment to community support by organizing a Ramadan Iftar in Asawase, located in the Ashanti Region. This charitable event, aimed at fostering unity and providing assistance during the holy month of Ramadan, was graced by the presence of Honorable Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, the Member of Parliament for Asawase.

The Iftar gathering brought together a diverse group of community members, including religious leaders, local dignitaries, and residents of Asawase, creating an atmosphere of communal harmony and shared spirituality. Attendees expressed profound gratitude for the Foundation’s initiative, highlighting the importance of such events in strengthening community bonds and supporting the less privileged during Ramadan.

Sharaf Mahama emphasized the Foundation’s dedication to promoting social cohesion and assisting communities in need. He remarked that supporting religious practices like Ramadan aligns with the Foundation’s mission to build strong, harmonious communities across Ghana.

Honorable Muntaka commended the Foundation’s efforts, noting that such initiatives significantly contribute to the well-being of the community and exemplify the spirit of compassion and generosity that Ramadan embodies.

The Sharaf Mahama Foundation has a history of supporting Muslim communities during Ramadan. In April 2024, the Foundation supported an Iftar event in the Okaikwei Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, with the assistance of Honorable Baba Sadiq, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the area. This event provided over 500 individuals with the opportunity to break their fast together, reflecting the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to fostering unity and supporting religious practices in various communities.

Through these initiatives, the Sharaf Mahama Foundation continues to exemplify the values of empathy, unity, and community service, making a tangible difference in the lives of many Ghanaians during the sacred month of Ramadan.
