H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the President of Ghana, has nominated 29 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.
A statement issued on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, announced the third batch of 29 MMDCEs nominated across three regions.
The nominations are subject to approval by the respective Local Assemblies.
