The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced the official launch of its Manifesto for the 2024 general elections. The launch which is scheduled for 12 noon on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, will be held at the Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium at the University of Education, Winneba, in the Central Region.
This comes a few days after the party launched its “Youth Manifesto” which outlines the party’s vision and plans for the youth of the country if voted into power.
The “main manifesto” is said to feature the NDC’s Flagbearer, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, who will be the Special Guest of Honor. The occasion will also see the presence of key figures within the NDC, including members of the National Executive Committee, the Council of Elders, Members of Parliament, and Parliamentary Candidates of the umbrella party. Distinguished guests from various sectors such as the Diplomatic Corps, Clergy, Traditional Authorities, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Labor Organizations, and the Creative Arts industry are also expected to attend.
This was contained in a press statement released on Monday, 19th August, 2024. The statement, signed by Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi who is the party’s national communications officer invited the general public to witness the event.
The manifesto launch will serve as a platform for the NDC to articulate its transformational vision for Ghana. Various speakers will address voters on critical thematic areas that outline the party’s plans for resetting and building the Ghana that we all aspire to see.
The statement encouraged attendees to be seated by 11 AM promptly. Media houses planning to cover the event are also encouraged to contact the National Communications Bureau of the NDC for the necessary accreditation.
