NSA to Start Implementation of 6-Week Basic Military Orientation Programme on August 31

NSA Basic Milltary Orientation Programme in Ghana

On August 4, 2025, Hon. George Opare Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, announced to the general public that the National Service Authority (NSA) will begin the implementation of a six-week Basic Military Orientation Programme.

This announcement was made at the Government Accountability Series event held in Accra. According to the Minister, the implementation of the programme will commence on August 31, 2025.

The programme will initially involve 10,000 National Service personnel, with a target of training up to 100,000 youth in total.
