Following Ayew’s departure from the captaincy, Thomas Partey took over the role. Partey was assisted by Jordan Ayew in his absence. Unfortunately, Partey was called up for the crucial doubleheader games against Sudan but was unable to participate due to illness.

Many anticipated that Jordan Ayew would step in as captain, given his experience and previous role as vice-captain. However, Coach Otto Addo made the unexpected decision to appoint Mohammed Kudus as the captain for this match. Kudus, who plays as an attacking midfielder, has impressed both at the club level and on the national stage. Addo’s confidence in the young star stems from his outstanding performances and leadership potential.

According to sources, Addo believes that Kudus can inspire the team and lead them to success. Kudus has been a key player for the national team, and his ability to perform under pressure has earned him the trust of the coach and his teammates.

Fans and supporters are eager to see the impact Kudus will have as captain in the match against Sudan. Expectations are high for the dynamic midfielder, and many believe his leadership on the field could propel the Black Stars to victory.
