Ministry of Foreign Affairs Urges Public to Retrieve Undelivered Passports from PACs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that a significant number of undelivered passports have been returned to various Passport Application Centres (PACs) across the country. This follows the inability of courier services to complete deliveries due to inaccurate addresses and contact details provided by applicants.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, July 23, 2025, the Ministry explained that as part of a broader strategy to improve passport administration, applicants now receive their passports through courier services. However, under the agreement with these service providers, any passport not successfully delivered within 21 days is returned to the PAC for collection.

Applicants who have not yet received their passports are advised to visit the PACs where their biometric information was taken or to contact the Passport Client Service Unit via 0302 754 200 for assistance in arranging collection.

“The general public is hereby encouraged to provide accurate information during the application process to facilitate efficient delivery of passports,” the statement emphasized.

The Ministry also appealed to the media and the wider public for cooperation in ensuring the success of this important exercise. It assured applicants that improving passport delivery remains a priority, and ongoing measures are being taken to address challenges within the system.

The Ministry concluded by reiterating its commitment to providing timely and efficient passport services to all citizens.
