Ministry of Finance Set to Pay 6,500 Nurses and Midwives

6,500 nurses and midwives arrears to be paid

Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, the Minister for Health, has assured the general public that the arrears owed to about 6,500 nurses and midwives will be paid starting in November.

This assurance was given in an address delivered by the Health Minister as part of efforts to address concerns raised by the nurses and midwives affected by the arrears at the Ministry of Health office in Accra.

According to Hon. Akandoh, Cabinet has directed the Ministry of Finance to commence payment of the arrears beginning in November 2025.
