The Minister for Education, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, has inaugurated the Planning Committee for the 2025 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Week Celebration. The inauguration ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, in Accra.
As part of the event, the Minister officially launched the TVET Week Planning Committee to begin preparations toward this year’s national celebration of TVET. He noted that the establishment of the committee is a critical step in organizing a successful and impactful celebration that highlights the role of TVET in Ghana’s development agenda.

Hon. Haruna Iddrisu emphasized the importance of collaboration, innovation, and strategic planning among committee members. He urged them to work diligently and creatively to showcase the relevance of technical and vocational education in fostering job creation, enhancing skills development, and contributing to national economic growth.
The Minister also called on the committee to remain focused and committed to excellence, urging them to put in place appropriate measures, structures, and strategies to ensure that the 2025 TVET Week becomes a memorable and results-driven event.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s support for the committee’s work and pledged the government’s continued investment in strengthening TVET in Ghana.
