A new poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics in May 2025 reveals that a majority of Ghanaian voters support the suspension of the Chief Justice, nearly a month after the action was taken in April.
According to the survey, most voters across the 16 regions of Ghana back the suspension, with the exception of the Northern and North East Regions, where opposition is slightly stronger.
This was contained in a post on the firm’s official twitter (now X) account.
The data further indicates that the support for the suspension cuts across political lines, with the majority of NDC supporters, floating voters, supporters of other parties, and those who did not disclose party affiliation all backing the move. On the other hand, a majority of NPP-aligned voters expressed opposition to the Chief Justice’s suspension.
The survey, according to a post on twitter (now X) sampled 2,558 registered voters with a confidence level of 99% and a margin of error of 2.51%.
The post draws the conclusion that the findings suggest significant public backing for the decision, which has stirred national debate since it was announced.
