In a farewell ceremony held on May 27, 2025, at Woraso Presby JHS in the Sekyere Kumawu Education Directorate, educators and learners bade farewell to Mr. Shadrack Sarpong, the outgoing School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) for the Bodomase circuit and welcomed Mr. George Konadu as his successor. This event was part of a broader reshuffle within the directorate which reflects the ongoing efforts to strengthen educational leadership in the district.
The ceremony served both as a tribute to Mr. Sarpong’s dedicated service and an introduction to Mr. Konadu’s vision for the future. Mr. Sarpong was commended for his commitment to improving educational outcomes while Mr. Konadu pledged to build upon this foundation to further enhance teaching and learning in the Bodomase circuit.
This leadership transition aligns with the Sekyere Kumawu Education Directorate’s ongoing initiatives to promote academic excellence and professional development among teachers. Earlier this year, the directorate celebrated the National Professional Development Day, emphasizing mental health and psychosocial well-being for educators which demonstrated the commitment to holistic educational advancement.
The reshuffle and appointment of new SISOs are part of the directorate’s strategic efforts to address challenges and leverage opportunities within the educational sector which shall ensure that leadership is responsive to the evolving needs of schools and communities in the Sekyere Kumawu District.
