Kumawu Traditional Council to Host 2025 Annual Prayer and Thanksgiving Service

The Kumawu Traditional Council, in collaboration with the Local Council of Churches, is set to organize the 2025 Annual Prayer and Thanksgiving Service.

This anticipated program is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Kumawu Lorry Station.

In an exclusive interview with GH Educate, Rev. Daniel Gyasi-Nimako, the Minister for Kumawu Emmanuel Methodist Church and one of the organizers of the event, revealed that this year’s program marks the third edition of the annual service. Rev. Gyasi-Nimako highlighted the significance of the event, stressing the need for all Kumawu residents, both home and abroad, to participate. He emphasized that the prayer and thanksgiving service is an opportunity for the community to come together in unity, reflect on God’s blessings, and commit the upcoming year into the hands of the Lord.

The program is expected to attract several dignitaries, including Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, the Kumawumanhene; Nana Serwaa Amponsah, the Kumawu Manhemaa; Rev. Alex Boakye Agyemang, Chairman of the Local Council of Churches; and Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament for Kumawu.

Word ministrations will be delivered by Archbishop Akwasi Asare Bediako, the General Overseer of Resurrection Power Ministry, and Father Francis Otuo Serebour, who are expected to inspire and uplift attendees with messages centered on faith, gratitude, and hope for the future.

The event will also feature musical performances from renowned gospel artists, including the legendary Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Hannah Marfo, who are set to lead the congregation in powerful praise and worship.

The program is expected to commence at 3:30 p.m. sharp, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats.

Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua, the Kumawumanhene, is extended an invitation to all Kumawu residents. He urged them to attend and experience the transformative power of God while expressing gratitude for His protection and kindness over the past years and seeking His blessings for the years ahead.
