Kumawood favorites Wayoosi, Sumsum Ahuofe, and actress China added up extra energy and star power to the Kwabre Anweneɛ of Bonwire edition of Ashantifest 2025. The actors were warmly welcomed by fans as they joined in the colorful celebration of Ashanti culture and tradition. Sumsum Ahuofe made headlines during the event after gifting GH¢50 to a lucky fan for an unexpected but heartwarming moment that left many cheering. Wayoosi, always a fan favorite, shared laughs and made himself available for fans to have photographs with him whiles actress China made her presence felt with charm and grace as she engaged closely with the crowd.
Ashantifest which is organized by the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council is a cultural initiative designed to highlight the heritage, music, and traditions of the Ashanti Region. The Bonwire edition, held in one of Ghana’s most iconic kente weaving towns was filled with performances, local arts displays, and deep cultural expression.
The presence of these Kumawood stars added a perfect moment of entertainment to the day which many Ghanaians have no doubt of blended Ghanaian cinema with community celebration.
