Kumawood star Kwadwo “Lil Win” Nkansah isn’t just a screen icon but also a transformative entrepreneur who has channeled his acting earnings into Ghana’s economic growth and social development.
According to Lil Win’s assertion, he left school in grade six but returned to complete his education and now leads Great Minds International School, a modern institution in Offinso‑Ahenkro. He initiated affordable boarding at just GH₵200 and has extended education to over 1,500 students, offering scholarships to the underprivileged. He further expanded the school with a new preschool wing sanctioned early 2025.
His commitment to quality education is clear as weekly school bus fuel costs GH₵20,000, yet he remains steadfast in keeping fees low and accessible.
Beyond education, Lil Win invests in Wezzy Barbering Studios, an upscale beauty salon outfitted with barber chairs worth US $1,300 apiece. These ventures collectively employ cleaners, security staff, barbers, hairdressers, and support personnel.
In film, his production company sustains scores of staff such as camera operators, sound engineers, graphic designers, cooks, and more which demonstrate a thriving creative ecosystem.
He also funds a personal mechanic and continues to give back through philanthropic efforts by donating wheelchairs and GH₵1,000 to disabled persons supporting veteran actor Kwaku Twumasi with GH₵10,000 in supplies and delighting school children by spraying cash for them to collect.
