H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the President of Ghana, has officially requested Parliament’s approval for the nomination of 10 regional ministers.
The announcement was made through a release from the presidency, which was sent to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, requesting the vetting and confirmation of the nominees.
The regional ministers nominated include:
- Northern – Adolf John
- Savannah – Salisu Bi-Awuribe
- Greater Accra – Linda Ocloo, MP
- Oti – John Kwadwo Gyapong
- Volta – James Gunu
- Ashanti – Dr. Frank Amoakohene
- Upper East – Akamugri Donatus Atanga
- Ahafo – Charity Gardiner
- Eastern – Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjel Awatey
- North-East – Ibrahim Tia
The remaining six regions without nominees are Bono East, Bono, Central, Western, Upper West, and Western North.
This nomination marks a crucial step in the President’s efforts to strengthen governance and ensure effective administration across Ghana’s regions.
