Actor and politician John Dumelo has donated a large consignment of food supplies to school feeding caterers in the Ayawaso West Municipality as part of his commitment to support education and improve nutrition for school children in the area.

The donation, made on Thursday, included 50 gallons of cooking oil, 400 bags of local rice, 1,000 crates of eggs, and one ton of Made-in-Ghana chicken. According to Dumelo, the gesture is aimed at ensuring that children under the School Feeding Programme receive quality, nutritious and locally produced meals throughout the term.
Speaking during the presentation, Dumelo explained that investing in children’s welfare remains one of his top priorities. He stressed that providing caterers with adequate food items will help them prepare better meals for pupils in public basic schools across the Ayawaso West constituency.
He added that the support is also in line with his broader goal of promoting Made-in-Ghana products, boosting local farmers and strengthening the local food supply chain.
Caterers who received the items expressed gratitude for the intervention, noting that the rising cost of food has made meal preparation increasingly difficult for them lately. They described the donation as timely and essential for sustaining quality meals for the pupils.
Dumelo is continuously becoming famous for community initiatives in Ayawaso West, where he has previously supported schools, students and local development projects.
