President elect of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Maham has officially appointed members of the 2024 Transition Team in accordance with the Presidential Transition Act, 2012 (Act 845). The team has been tasked to facilitate a smooth and efficient transfer of political power from the outgoing government to the incoming administration.
The Transition Team is made up of seasoned professionals from diverse sectors including finance, governance, and public administration which shall reflect a balanced blend of expertise and experience. Their collective mandate is to work closely with representatives of the outgoing government to ensure continuity and stability during the transition period.
The appointed members of the 2024 transition team are as follows:
1. Hon. Julius Debrah – Co-Chairperson
2. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia – Member
3. Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey – Member
4. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Member and Secretary to the Transition Team
5. Dr. Valérie Sawyer – Member
6. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi – Member
7. Hon. Dr. Keith Lee – Member
8. Hon. Mahama Ayariga – Member
9. Hon. Gusi Tano – Member
10. Dr. Edward Omwami-Buama – Member
Additionally, the President elect has nominated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Committee. This team is expected to play a important role in fostering collaboration and ensuring all aspects of governance are handed over seamlessly to the incoming administration. The appointment of this diverse and highly capable group highlights the President elect’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s democratic principles through a well structured and orderly transition process.
