Veteran striker Jamie Vardy has been officially named Serie A Player of the Month for November, capping a remarkable chapter in his Italian adventure.
At 38 years old, the former Leicester City legend becomes the first English player to win Serie A’s monthly honour since the award was introduced in 2019.
The EA Sports FC Player of the Month is decided by a blend of fan voting and advanced statistical analysis, highlighting both popularity and performance.
Vardy edged out stiff competition from elite stars including Mike Maignan (AC Milan), Lautaro Martínez (Inter), David Neres (Napoli), Leo Østigård (Genoa) and Nicolò Zaniolo (Udinese) to claim the accolade.
His award was powered by a standout November, which included scoring against Juventus his only goal of the month in a narrow 2-1 defeat.
Despite Cremonese losing all three of their league matches that month, Vardy’s influence, work rate and leadership resonated with voters.
Across the season so far, he has scored four goals in ten Serie A appearances, including a brace in a 3-1 win over Bologna.
Serie A chief executive Luigi De Siervo praised Vardy as a “player from another era” whose spirit and history embody the romance of football.
Signed by Cremonese in the summer after a legendary 13-year stint at Leicester, where he helped secure the club’s miraculous 2016 Premier League title, Vardy’s Italian renaissance continues to captivate fans.
