Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, the Presidential aspirant for the NPP for 2028 elections, has reiterated that he has honoured the call for unity within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) through his silence, stressing that no one should mistake his calmness for weakness or fear. According to him, his loyalty and dedication to the party are not matters of mere rhetoric but verifiable records of long-standing service and personal sacrifice.
Hon. Agyapong stressed that ahead of the 2016 general elections, he personally financed 28 pickups for the Western Region and a total of 245 pickups nationwide. These logistical supports, he emphasized, were crucial in strengthening the party’s campaign machinery across the country. He noted that he made these sacrifices at a time when many of the individuals who now attempt to undermine him were nowhere to be found.
He expressed astonishment that some of these very people now have the audacity to twist his words and belittle his efforts, despite the magnitude of his contributions. For him, anyone who boasts of wealth in the present political climate must be transparent enough to disclose the source of that wealth. Likewise, those who parade individuals as “presidential material” must also be courageous enough to account for the loss of the 2.1 million votes that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo once secured.
Hon. Agyapong stated unequivocally that he is not intimidated by anyone within or outside the party. He reaffirmed that his service has always been guided by integrity, sacrifice, and a genuine desire to see the NPP progress.
However, he warned that if some individuals continue to provoke him or seek confrontation, he is fully prepared to respond appropriately, promising what he described as an undeniable SHOWDOWN.
