The third (3rd) day of the Bodomase Circuit Sports Event 2025 marked the highly anticipated JHS Under 15 boys’ and girls’ handball competitions, drawing even larger crowds and heightened excitement. Unlike the primary school event, the JHS competition saw an overwhelming turnout of teachers, students, and community members from Woraso, fueling the intensity of the matches.

The occasion was graced by the School Improvement Support Officer (SISO), Mr. Sarpong Shadrack, whose presence added prestige and excitement to the competition. His visit energized both players and spectators, boosting morale and reinforcing the importance of sports in education. His words of encouragement before the matches further heightened the intensity, making the day’s events truly extraordinary.

Girls’ Final: Bodomase D/A JHS Triumphs in a Penalty Shoot-out
The girls’ final featured a heated showdown between Bodomase D/A JHS and Bodomase Methodist JHS. The match ended in a 2-2 draw, forcing a dramatic penalty shootout. With nerves of steel, Bodomase D/A JHS secured a 4-2 victory, earning them the title of female handball champions.
Boys’ Final: A Dramatic Comeback and a Last-Minute Winner
The boys’ final delivered one of the most thrilling encounters of the tournament, as Bodomase Methodist JHS faced Bodomase Presby JHS. The Presbyterians took an early 3-0 lead before halftime, seemingly on their way to an easy victory. However, Bodomase Methodist staged an incredible comeback, equalizing 3-3 in the second half. Just as the game seemed destined for penalties, Bodomase Presby netted a late goal, clinching a 4-3 victory which ended in their championship title.
A Well-Structured and Successful Event
The three phase structure of the five-day tournament has proven to be a brilliant approach, ensuring a smooth and well-organized event. With handball now concluded, all eyes turn to the final two days of the competition, where the athletic events promise even more excitement.
