Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, Ghana’s Finance Minister and the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), has officially inaugurated the Bank’s first-ever Regional Representative Office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
According to him, the inauguration of the office marks a significant advancement in the Bank’s efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and investment across West Africa.

In his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Governors of EBID, Hon. Forson emphasized that the establishment of the Abidjan office represents a strategic move to enhance the Bank’s presence and accessibility in Ivory Coast. “This inauguration is a landmark step in our mission to deepen regional investment, promote economic integration, and create opportunities for all member states,” he stated.
The new office in Abidjan is expected to serve as a hub for facilitating partnerships, mobilizing resources, and implementing development initiatives that support sustainable growth throughout the ECOWAS region.
