Health Minister, Hon. Kwabena Akandoh, has disclosed that financial clearance has been granted for the employment of 203 additional doctors to improve health service delivery.
In his statement during a meeting with the press, Hon. Akandoh also indicated that 883 medical house officers who began work in 2024 without pay have now been placed on salary.
He further revealed that approval has been given for the recruitment of 800 doctors who completed their housemanship in 2024 but were still awaiting placement.
The Minister added that 321 pharmacists who completed their housemanship in early 2024 have now received their allowances.
