Ghana Teacher Prize 2025 Set for Official Launch on 20 August

The Ghana Teacher Prize (GTP) 2025 will officially be launched at GNAT Hall on Wednesday, 20th August 2025, marking the beginning of the nation’s annual celebration of exceptional educators.

The GTP is organised by the Ministry of Education and National Teaching Council (NTC), recognises and rewards teachers who have made outstanding contributions to education in Ghana. This year’s ceremony will highlight the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the country’s future.

The theme for this year’s Ghana Teacher Prize is “Elevating the Status of Teachers for Quality Education” — reflecting the national commitment to improving the recognition, welfare, and professional growth of educators.

The launch will bring together policymakers, education stakeholders, teachers, and the public to honour the dedication and hard work of teachers across all levels of the education system.

Winners of the Ghana Teacher Prize are selected based on their innovation in teaching, dedication to students’ academic and personal development, and their contribution to the wider community.

The Ghana Teacher Prize is part of Ghana’s commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on quality education for all.
