Ghana Prisons Service Honours Outgoing Director-General

A pull-out ceremony has been held at the Prisons Officers Training School in Accra in honour of Mr. Isaac Kofi Egyir, the outgoing Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service.

The ceremony was graced by the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, who joined officers, dignitaries, and well-wishers in applauding Mr. Egyir’s contributions to national development.

The event celebrated his distinguished service, outstanding leadership, and strong commitment to prison reform during his tenure. Mr. Egyir is widely credited with driving key changes aimed at improving the welfare of inmates and strengthening the role of correctional facilities in national security and justice.

Mr. Egyir is succeeded by Mrs. Patricia Baffoe-Bonnie who now assumes the role of Director-General of the Ghana Prisons Service.
