Ghana Celebrates 50 Years of Friendship with Kuwait

Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, the Minister for Sports and Recreation, has shared insights on the bond that exists between Ghana and Kuwait.

In his statement, he indicated that the Chargé d’Affaires of the State of Kuwait, Mr. Husain Alebrahim, at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Accra, created a platform to reflect on 50 years of friendship between Ghana and Kuwait, dating back to 1977.

He stressed the enduring friendship between the two countries and highlighted the significant role Kuwait has played in Ghana’s development journey, particularly through the Kuwait Fund since 1977.

Their discussions also touched on the completion of ongoing projects and explored the prospects of a new Ghana–Kuwait Sports Cooperation Framework, exchange opportunities, trade, youth development, and other areas of mutual interest. Looking ahead to the celebration of Kuwait’s National Day on 11 February, he concluded.
