In alignment with the Government of Ghana’s initiative to standardize the visual identity of all government agencies, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has taken steps to ensure consistency across its communications.
At a workshop held at Noda Hotel in Kumasi from Monday, 26th to Wednesday, 28th August, 2024 to sensitize Regional Public Relations Officers (PROs) of the GES on new communication strategy on the GALOP, Head of Public Relations at GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, seized the opportunity to address the PROs to create the awareness.
During the session, the PROs were introduced to the newly developed GES brand guidelines, which are expected to be implemented across all levels of the service.
This engagement follows a successful session with GES management and staff at the headquarters, which marks the beginning of an ongoing branding process. The guidelines will among other things include the use of the new logo for the GES developed by the Ministry of Communications.
The next phase of the awareness creation and sensitization will focus on District PROs, District/Regional Directors of education, and other key stakeholders, with the goal of achieving a unified brand image throughout the organization.
In addition to the brand guidelines, Ms. Awo Gyan, the Right to Information (RTI) Officer at the GES headquarters, delivered a presentation on the Right to Information. She addressed critical issues raised by participants, providing clarity on various aspects of the RTI Act and its implementation within the GES framework.
With this in place, it is hoped that the Ghana Education Service will boost its visibility, enhance its public presence and also strengthen its communication with stakeholders nationwide.
This initiative gives more light to the GES’s commitment to improving its public image and ensuring transparency in its operations.
