GES announces release of feeding grant for special schools in Ghana

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that the outstanding feeding grants owed to special schools have been fully released.

In an official circular dated 10th December 2025, the Director General, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, directed all Regional Directors of Education to inform heads of special schools that grants for the 3rd Term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the 1st Term of the 2025/2026 academic year have been credited to their respective accounts.

Heads of special schools have been instructed to acknowledge receipt of the funds by submitting official receipts to the Director General through their Regional Accountants.

This development has been long awaited for by Heads of the Special Schools. It is hoped that this exciting development will ensure timely support for special schools and the smooth running of their feeding programmes.
